At least once per year for a split second I think, “fuck all of these expensive cars that go fast. I’m going to get an old van and make it awesome.”

A friend with 3 kids (all under 4 years old) has an E-series van to tote the kids and their stuff around every day. He teaches at a middle school and the other day the local police were looking for a sketchy guy who, of course, drives a similar van. Another teacher at the school reported the “sketchy van” parked behind the school and the cops came, poked around it for about 2 minutes until the principal (who was with the cops) realized whose it was. They all had a good laugh about it. As practical as it is, he can’t escape the Sketchy Van stereotype, even as a teacher and father.

Should look in to a new transit or sprinter, still a van and it’s hard to totally shake that creepier thing...but they get close!

I tend to think that custom license plates are generally stupid. Not so, these.

Funny you should mention it, they wanted a sprinter but the E-series just won out for price, I’m sure.
